BRIDGEWATER, NJ — For Jessica Colon, a Bridgewater mom of four and owner of Hairitage Hair Lounge in Somerville, telling her not to do hair is like telling her to stop breathing. That's why she came up with some creative ways for clients to still take care of themselves while social distancing and staying in quarantine amid the coronavirus outbreak.

2020欧洲杯赛事"Hair is more than vanity, hair is more than a treat, it is the way we view ourselves," Colon said. "We need to love our reflection and love ourselves."

When Gov. Phil Murphy shut down all non-essential businesses last week it hit Colon hard and her shop at 131 North Gaston Ave. in Somerville.

"Honestly it took a couple days to process and accept this was happening. I was more in disbelief," Colon said. "I have been working for two decades and now do I have to accept this is my new normal? Cooking, cleaning, helping my kids with homework?"

2020欧洲杯赛事Instead of sulking Colon is adapting to the current situation by offering locals a way to "stay pretty."

Hairitage launched a customized touch-up kit for those pesky grey hairs. The kit is $35 and includes: premixed professional vegan hypo-allergenic color, developer, brush, gloves, shampoo, and conditioner.

2020欧洲杯赛事The kits are delivered to your door or driveway with no-contact and also include a $5 gift card as a thank you. Instruction on how to apply the color will also be included. Colon is also working on video tutorials as well.

Hairitage is also offering a $10 bonus gift card given with every $50 purchased on a voucher.

"Every time you look at yourself you should still like the person looking back at you," Colon said. "Sitting there with a messy bun and black rings around our eyes doesn't make us happy. When our is hair down and washed and our make up is on even through these times and stress we can still look at our reflection and say, 'OK we got this.' "
